Where to stay, inland in The Gambia.

I have stayed basically in Kololi while in The Gambia. The best part of my time was spent away from the tourist areas and have met great people every time.

I would like to spend more time inland and further inside Gambia.

Can anyone recommend anywhere to stay?

I can't recommend anywhere particular to stay as the upcountry hotels, B&Bs, etc are always changing, but get yourself a copy of 'The Lonely Planet Guide to Gambia and Senegal' - it is invaluable.

I've travelled all over both countries, and I always take it with me.
