Nov 22,2006 by

gambia Dr Patrick Chang Taiwanese Ambassador to The Gambia, has disclosed that 25 more Gambian students will study at the National Taipai University of Technology (NTUT).

Ambassador Chang made this statement last week Friday at a ceremony held at the University of The Gambia (UTG) Administration building, where he presented a cheque for US$6,000 as scholarships for the needy and deserving students.

According to Dr Chang, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed between the UTG and NTUT would always be pursued by his embassy for the benefit of the two highest institutions of learning. He expressed his delight with the performance of the first batch of Gambians students who are undertaking a programme in petroleum engineering at NTUT.

He assured his embassy's preparedness to strengthen relations and cooperation between the NTUT and its Gambian counterpart, UTG.

Currently, 25 Gambian students are studying at the National Taipei University of Technology. The students accompanied by their Taiwanese counterparts, lecturers and the NTUT President had recently ended there two weeks long vacation in the country.
