Gambia News : Captain Solomon Jammeh Passes Away
Captain Solomon Jammeh, another senior military officer close to President Jammeh, died on Saturday after a sudden illness, accentuating the concern of some members of the public about the uncanny similarity and frequency in the death of officers forming part of an elite unit.
The late Capt. Jammeh reportedly fell sick and was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced clinically dead after some hours.
The deceased is reported to have returned from Nigeria about two weeks ago, where he underwent a Junior Division course.
The late Capt. Jammeh, who had no doubt gained reputation as a cautious and capable soldier, had one-time served as the Camp Commander at Kanilai before his latest posting to the Army Joint Headquarters in Banjul.
He joined the army 11 years ago, rising through the ranks to the rank of Captain. He was laid to rest on Saturday in Kanilai, his hometown.
The death of the late Captain comes hot on the heels of that of Major Musa Jammeh barely a month ago, both preceded by the death of Captain Tumbul Tamba, who died some nine months ago in similar circumstances.
Both late Major Musa Jammeh and Capt. Solomon Jammeh were Principal Protection Officers to the President, Dr. Alhagie Yahya Jammeh.
The late Capt. Solomon Jammeh is said to be survived by his wife and children.

The deaths are far to similar to be accidental illnesses that ultimatley lead to death. A man of such position surly has the captial to travel to Senegal or Europe for medical care. Not to mention theres a good German hospital in gambia too.
Yaya is a corrupt, crazy bastard and should be feed to his aligaters for dinner. Yaya's only agenda is HIMSELF!!!

- this is the best thing that can ever happen to fools like these people, from my opion they are so a very big fools because i'm not going to kill for no body i don't care if are my father or my mother. look at what happen to them yaya jammeh bastard use them and kill them because he don't wanna them to expose him that's why.this is a big lessen for those who are going to take over the position this people been taking care of you don't beheave right you gonna die just like them, and mark this from me yaya jammeh ' the way he'll die 'll even worse than solomon and his friends.yaya jammeh is a basterd and he will ever be a basterd.gambian people don't need anybody like him.
