Gambia News : Gambia, Morocco to jointly fight illegal migration

gambia The Speaker of the Gambian Parliament, Fatoumatta Jahump a Ceesay, said on Wednesday that the Gambia and Morocco have agreed to curtail the menace of the illegal migration of youths to Europe through North Africa.

According to a press release issued in Banjul, the decision was reached during the Speaker’s recent visit to Morocco.

They also discussed economic and political integration as well as cooperation in other sectors, particularly fisheries, education, culture and heritage, trade and agriculture.

The release added that the two parliaments also resolved to establish a Gambia-Morocco parliamentary friendship association.

  • Let the speaker know that what the gambia need is democratic governance not twining with monarchical Government like morocco.The youths will stay when the governance enviroment is conducive.
