Gambia News: Comium Sues Pa Ebou Sanneh

Comium Gambia Limited, the newly established telecommunication company, has filed a civil suit at Banjul Magistrates' Court against Pa Ebou Sanneh, the APRC Banjul Youth Divisional Mobiliser. Comium is claiming back the sum of two hundred thousand dalasis (D200, 000) which they said to have paid to Mr. Sanneh as rent for a property for which he had no legal ownership as he was a mere licensee.

The case, which was mentioned on 24 September 2007 at the Banjul Magistrates' Court, was presided over by Magistrate B.Y Camara. The matter is adjourned till 9 October 2007.

Mr. Ebou Sanneh is the husband of the Acting Mayoress of Banjul, Mam Sai Sanneh.

It is alleged that the BCC granted Mr. Sanneh licence to use the plot for the purpose of operating a restaurant.
