Gambia: Alleged Husband Murderer Falls Ill

Tabara Samba, who is standing trial for allegedly murdering her husband (Ebrima Nyan) by pouring hot oil on him, sometime in March 2007, is said to be ill, the Police Prosecutor told the court on Monday, 7 May.

Prosecutor Burama Dibba told Magistrate Pa Harry Jammeh that the accused person was ill and had been taken to hospital for a medical checkup. Dibba also added that he is sure that the accused person would be able to come to court on Wednesday 9 April. The matter was deferred to today, Wednesday. Seven prosecution witnesses had testified in the matter.
