Gambia News : Neneh Macdouall is the new Gambian Ambassador to US

According to reliable sources, Ajaratou Neneh Macdouall-Gaye has been appointed as Gambia’s new Ambassador to the United States of America.

Neneh Macdouall-Gaye joined the Cabinet in 2005 when she was appointed as Secretary of State for Trade, Industry and Employment, a position she served for few monthsprior to her appointment as the Secretary of State for Communication, Information and Information Technology from 2005 to 19th March 2008.

Serving as the current Managing Director of the Daily Observer newspaper, a position she occupied since the 13th June 2008, Neneh Macdouall-Gaye has a wide experience in journalism, a career she started in the early 1979 with Radio Gambia which earned her many fans owing to her ‘golden voice’ and immaculate delivery.

In a separate but related development, Mr Musa Mboob, former Inspector General of Police, has been appointed as Gambia’s Deputy Ambassador to the United States of America. Mr Mboob also once served as Director-General of the Immigration Department where he was pivotal in raising that institution’s annual revenue collection.
