Gambia News : Opposition leader, journalist released on bail

gambia Gambia National Intelligence Agency on Friday released on bail the leader of the opposition National Alliance for Democracy and Development (NADD), Halifa Sallah and The Point newspaper’s news editor Abba Gibba on bail today Friday.

According to sources the two men were released on bail in the sun of D200,000 (US$7,500) with two Gambian sureties.

Sallah and Gibba were arrested on Thursday by the NIA and they spent the night at the agency’s headquarters in Banjul.
