Gambia News : All Africa Public Relations Association meets in Gambia to discuss impact of climate change
The 22nd All Africa Public Relations Conference is scheduled to open
in Banjul on Monday, the Public Relations Association of The Gambia
(PRAG), who are the hosts, said here Saturday.
According
to PRAG, the theme for the week-long conference “Climate Change and its
implications for public relations.” They further explained that the
conference will explore the issues of climate change and “communication
as part of our professional contribution with a view to curbing the
current global environmental challenges and trends.”
PRAG said some eminent personalities are scheduled to
present papers ranging from the impact of climate change scenerios in
Africa, a research strategy for meeting climate change in The Gambia as
well as matters on public health and corporate social responsibility.
According to the President of PRAG, Raymond Njie, they
also expect the conference to avail The Gambia the opportunity to
position itself adequately “to manage the public relations implications
of the consequences of environmental problems.”
