As Dida Halake Gets Detained
According to reliable sources, the Board of Directors of Daily Observer newspaper on Friday appointed Mrs Neneh Macdouall-Gaye, former Secretary of State for Information, Communication and Technologyas the new Managing Director of the paper.
Meanwhile, at the time of going to press, the former Managing Director of the Daily Observer, Mr. Dida Halake, was in detention at the Kotu Police Station where he was undergoing questioning. Mr. Halake is said to have been picked up on Saturday by state security agents.
When our reporter visited Kotu Police Station yesterday afternoon, he found a thoughtful but sad looking Mr. Halake sitting inside the station, appearing very composed all the same.
