Gambia News : Fatim Badjie, Crispin Removed in a minor cabinet reshuffle
The Gambian leader, President Yahya Jammeh, on Thursday embarked on
a minor cabinet reshuffle in which he removed the ministers of for
Communication, Information Technology and that of Higher Education.
In
a press release issued in Banjul by the office of the President, Ms
Fatim Badjie has been replaced by Omar Ndow, a former Managing Director
for the Gambia’s National Telecommunication Corporation (GAMTEL) as the
new Communication and Information Technology minister, while the Higher
Education ministry formally held by Crispin Grey-Johnson, who prior to
that had been Foreign Affairs minister and before that as The Gambia’s
permanent representative at the United Nations, has been placed under
the office of the president.
When Ms Badjie was appointed last year as the youngest
and no doubt the must inexperienced minister in the cabinet, many
political analysts were skeptical about her ability to run such a
position. Therefore, some people see her early exit from the cabinet as
vindication of such skepticism.

- Well what a story fatima Badjie is one minister that falls far below the qualification of an average minister who advises the president in the selection of minsters ministers must be vetted before being selected and a special committe must be set up in the case of omar ndow it is a total suprise i mean how this guy was close to the president i mean he even walked with him in the street of banjul and after taking him to court for wrong doing well something fishy is going on
