Gambia News : Malick Jones says his arrest was a mistake by police

gambia Gambian journalist and Principal Producer at the Gambia Radio Television Services, Radio department, Mr. Malick Jones, says his arrest followed a mistake by the police.

Jones, who was arrested Monday, described his arrest and detention as an act of God, whom he said "has decreed that I have to go through this ordeal".

Asked why he was arrested, he told reporters he was not even informed of the reason(s) as to why he was picked up and he was only informed later yesterday (Tuesd ay) that “you can go home”.

Mr. Jones was picked up by agents of state security Monday and detained at Banjul Police Station only to be released Tuesday.
