Gambia News : Gambia gets new anti-drug agency boss

gambia Benedict Jammeh, Gambia's dismissed police chief, has been named the new Executive Director of the West African nation's anti-drug agency, official sources told PANA in Banjul Monday.

His appointment followed a recent wave of dismissals and arrests of top officials, including Bun Sanneh, the former Executive Director of Gambia's National Drug Enforcement Agency.

The 53-year-old Jammeh served as Gambia's Inspector General of Police from April 2007 to June 2008 when he was dismissed by President Yahya Jammeh.
