Gambia News : Gambian President receives sub-regional female parliamentarians

gambia Gambian President, Yahya Jammeh has received in his office in Banjul delegates of the ECOWAS Female Parliamentarian Association (ECOFEPA), ahead of the association’s formal launch, sources in Banjul informed PANA Friday.

The Gambian leader during a meeting with the delegates reportedly gave his unres erved support to the association. “What I can assure you of is that I will give my heart and soul to African women, and the women in the world,” he promised. The delegation led by Gambia’s Parliamentary Speaker, Fatoumatta Jahumpa Ceesay also hailed President Jammeh “for being an advocate of women’s rights and empowerment in Africa”.
