Gambia News : Gambian court convicts, sentences Nigerian abductors

A magistrates Court in Bundung, a suburb of Serrekunda, about 12 Kilometres from Banjul, on Thursday sentenced two Nigerians and one Gambian after they were convicted two counts of abduction and conspiracy.

The two Nigerians, Okewna Okechuli alias Prince and Benjamin George were sentenced to three years of imprisonment by Magistrate B.O Jobe of thr Bundung Magistrates Court, while their Gambian accomplice Fatou Sanneh was fined D10,000 ($400).

The duo alongside the third convict Fatou Sanneh were charged with the abduction of one Abdoullah Wadzane, a Moroccan national. The said incident was reported to have happened in Brusubi, in the Western Region of the country.
