Gambia News : Guinea Bissau’s new president-elect visits The Gambia

According to official sources, President-elect Sanha, who arrived in the evening, was received at the airport by the Vice President Isatou Nie-Saidy.

However, while there was no official announcement of the purpose of his visit, but he was said to have held some discussions with President Yahya Jammeh before leaving Banjul on Sunday morning for Bissau.

Sanha won the run-off in the Guinea Bissau presidential elections last week, obtaining 224,259 votes (63.31%) against 36.69% for Kumba Yala, who is a froemr president.
