Gambia News : Iranian foreign minister discusses bilateral cooperation in The Gambia

gambia The Iranian Foreign Minister, Manouchehr Mottaki, who arrived Saturday for a two day visit to The Gambia, held discussions immediately after with his Gambian counterpart Dr. Omar Touray.

At the end of their discussions, Minister Mottaki told reporters that his mission to The Gambia was to explore new ways and initiatives to expand the existing relations between the two countries. He said he was also going to concentrate mainly on agriculture and energy as well as seek a comprehensive cooperation in the private sector.

Iran and The Gambia have been enjoying good relations for the past few years, with President Mahmoud Ahmaddinejad visiting The Gambia during the July 2006 African Union summit in Banjul while the Gambian leader President Yahya Jammeh visiting Iran a few times.

  • Well we pray that this relationship works well without hmmmmmm!! What does Iran really want? If not only to help us as a poor nation only, and hope that our government understands where our interest is when dealing with all issues of life. please just don`t preach us to hate your enemies too. We don`t have problem with any nation.
