Gambia News : Jammeh resumes HIV/AIDS treatment programme
Gambian President Yahya Jammeh will resume his 'contro versial treatment programme' for carriers of the HIV/AIDS with a new batch of patients whose ailments have reached the crisis point, Dr. Tamsir Mbowe, the Director General of the 'Presidential Treatment Programme' told pro-government newsp apers on Tuesday.
He said that more than 500 patients were already signing up for the treatment.
In 2007, the Gambian President announced that he had discovered a 'cure' for HIV/AIDS, asthma and a host of other diseases, which sparked controversy with scientists dismissing the claim.
Once in a while, Jammeh claims to have cured patients suffering from all sorts of ailments, using herbs and incantations at his home village, Kanilai, about 100 kms South/West of Banjul.

- Sice he is a politician and an African using herbs, he will be denied both political and professionaly. More time and investigation would have proof a lot. Cretics would be there to challenge him what ever he does good or bad is what we witnessing.

- if Yahya Jammeh would be a white Europian or a western citizen today, he would have to prove his claims or else he would be put in a jail to stop him from poisoning human beings. And so unfortunately for Gambia! he is a President:
