(Source: Gambia Journal -)The President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Ahmed Tijan Kabba has called his one-day working visit to The Gambia as success. Talking to journalists at the Coconut Residence hotel at Kerr Serigne just before the conclusion of his visit on Wednesday, Dr. Kabba said that he and his host, President Jammeh were able to chart out a new phase in the relations between the two countries. He revealed that the two leaders have agreed on setting up a joint ministerial council that would be meeting at least once a year. He called the relations between the two countries as cordial and that they, the authorities in Freetown, have been watching developments in The Gambia with keen interest.
