During a three-week fact-finding mission in Nigeria, our main task will be to meet the stakeholders across Nigeria, including the Executive , Judiciary, Legislature, Media and the civil society.
lf there is anyone who is interested in the development and the advancement of democracy and stability in Nigeria, it is her citizens themselves. A stable Nigeria is not only good for her citizens but the entire sub-region,” he noted.
According to Sir Dawda, the voter populace of Nigeria is estimated at 75million. He then called for the cooperation of Nigerian stakeholders as it will enable them to present a good report to Ecowas on the situation in Nigeria.
Nuru Jobe, Head of Finance at the Ecowas Commission, Banjul Office, speaking at the press confrence, thanked the goverment for their support in the logistical arrangements. “Although the task is a big one, but we are hopeful that with Sir Dawda’s wealth of experience in politics, we have no doubt that he will measure up to our expectations,” he concluded.
