The Al Ain striker, Ousman Jallow, who marked his first cap in the Gambia Senior Squad in yesterday’s game against Algeria at the Independence Stadium, has apologised to his Father and the entire Gambian people for receiving a red card last night.

Speaking to Journalists after the game, Ousman Jallow said that this was the first time his father turned to the Stadium to watch him playing live and receiving a red card in that game was a big disappointment for him.

“Am really apologising to my Father and the entire Gambian populace for this sad incident and am promising that I would work on it and it would not happen again,” Ousman took Journalists.

He also said sorry to the fans for missing the penalty.

“My intention was to score in my first cap with the senior team but God have decided it in the other round,” he pointed out.

Ousman Jallow, who led the Gambia U-17 to victory in the African Championship in Banjul in 2005, won the leading goal scorers’ award in the African Youth Championship in Congo in 2007.

He also performed well in the Cadet and Youth World Championship held in Peru and Canada in 2005 and 2007 respectively.
