Gambia News : Gambian Under-17 defeats Guinea during a friendly in Banjul

gambia The Gambia’ national Under-17 team, the Baby Scorpions on Saturday defeated their Guinean counterparts by two goals to nil in a friendly encounter at the Independence Stadium in Bakau, about 12 kilometres outside Banjul, the capital.

The first goal was scored by Lamin Samateh at the 2nd minute of the first half, and the second was scored at the 42nd minute of the second half by Ebrima Bojang.

This match was a warm up for the Scorpions in preparation for the 8th African Under-17 Championships scheduled to be held in Algeria in March 2009.
