Smart move by President Jammeh, Smoking is fine in your own private residence, but to have consideration for non-smokers in public places is very important.

Job well done. kudos to the dept of health. This is the 1st phase, now comes the 2nd phase,educating the public of the effect of 1st a & 2nd hand smoke, to pregnant women, children, and the vast population at large. definition public required clarity

Oh no! Why is everyone trying to muck-up my life and only pleasure and the lives of all smokers? Most smokers like me don't drink or take drugs it is so unfair. This could also affect profitability of businesses. The law is also unclear.

Great move that smoking is being banned in public places. But which Public places are we talking about? It should be clearly define to avoid misunderstanding. For example, crowded places like offices, schools, resturants, night clubs etc.

Well done to the department of health ,and the government of the Gambia,for a brave move in banning smoking in public places. however,the job is now on the police to aside corruption and work effectively to make it worthy and compliance by all.

my message to mankanyie college is that polygamos marriage is good,it prevent us from cheating our wife thay why we are allow to marry as more as four.compere to those who marry only wife,most of them cheat there wife,banning smoking is good,

It's a great step to combat Cancer and other dangerous disease's atleast for all Health-Loving Gambians. Hope the Government will also Ban Polygamous attitudes quickly as It is so shameful to see Muslim Folks Marrying more than one wife or husbands.

I think this act needs clarification. I smoke when am driving in my car & it can easily be interpretted by our greedy police & used as another excuse to milk our hard earned cash.
