Gambia News : Gambia introduces new system for livestock marketing

  • Mr Lamin Touray, this is not the Daily Observer and if you want to protect Jammeh from critics start your own Paper! Stop focusing on personalities and try to see the issues! Jammeh is an inept idiot and you can't change our opinions of him!!

  • Yes government should be involved in inspecting livestock before slaughter, for the safety of the nation, but should let the free market determine the price of the product. Gov. involvement in price fixing always create more problems than warranted.

  • Lamin Jallow I dont mind if I am skinny. The mistake I did is contributing to this column which I thought was a debate for a better Gambia but this is not. We write on things we dont know just as you already say about me without even knowing who I am

  • brother moses i am here to say my vews and all what i want is the betterniss of the gambia where all gamboans wll be happy that is all what i want any one that have bad felling agens, gambia that is up that guy ok

  • Lamin i am just just calling a spade a spade! Let Jammeh concentrate on the business of government and let the market reign free!He alone does not know what is good for Gambia.Heis welcome to leave office and do business not two things at once buddy!

  • On a more serious note: if they succeed it will really be a breakthrough. Even in the West the middle men take all profit, with farmers being underpaid and customers overcharged. A fair price system that keeps supply up is needed worldwide.

  • Lamin Touray: just look at how fat your president is and how skinny you are yourself and than com back and tell me this president is sharing what he's got.
(Posted on January 30, 2010, 3:26 AM Lamin Jallow)

  • Moses, you have made this column a place to so hatered and vibes for getto guys. I dont mind if Jammeh is richer every minute because every second he is giving it back to peole in different ways. Give me his account details or properties any where?
(Posted on January 29, 2010, 5:15 PM Lamin Touray)

  • Mr.Sambou since when were you in Gambia? The national abattoir is now under the Kanilai Family Farms! They are just preparing the grounds for Jammeh (the biggest owner of lifestock) to get richer through lifestock marketing!!Open your eyes for once!

  • i think the new system will help gambian farmes and consumers if they can so it as they say. we don't need words we are tired and seke from big mout all what we want is action not words from now all eye on you and your agency. god bles gambia
