Gambia News : Iran delivers fishing-research ship to Gambia

Iran delivered a fishing-research vessel to Gambia on Monday based
on previous agreements signed by officials of the two countries for
promotion of bilateral relations and cooperation.
The ship was delivered to officials of the African state during an official ceremony held in the port city of Bushehr, southern Iran.
Gambian Ambassador to Iran Lamin Baju as well as a number of local officials from Iran were present in the ceremony.
The vessel was previously used by Iran for fishing and research activities.
It was delivered to the Gambian ambassador based on agreements reach between the two capitals during a visit to Gambia by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in summer 2006.
