Gambia News : Yahya Jammeh reshuffles cabinet

Gambian President Yahya Jammeh has reshuffled his cabinet with Mr Abdoulie Sallah, Secretary of State for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology losing his job.

The President has also named Dr Omar Touray as Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Ms Nancy Njie as Secretary of State for Tourism and Culture.

Mr Crispin Grey-Johnson, former Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, has been reassigned as Secretary of State for Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology while Mr Abdoulie Sallah becomes Secretary to the Cabinet.

Ms Angela Colley was appointed High Commissioner to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Mrs Neneh Macdouall-Gaye was named Ambassador/Permanent Representative to the United Nations while Susan Waffa-Ogoo was appointed High Commissioner to India.

Mrs Teneng Mba Jaiteh was named Secretary General and Head of the Civil Service.
