Gambia News : ECA official gives thumbs up to Gambia’s level of e-gov’t awareness

The Chief of ICT Policy and Development Sector of the Science and Technology Division at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Addis Ababa, Sizo Mhanda, has expressed satisfaction at the level of awareness of e - government in The Gambia.

Speaking in Banjul on Friday after meeting the Gambian vice president, Mrs. Isatou Njie Saidy at State House, Mr. Mhanda, who is representing the ECA on the implementation process of the ECA-Gambia Government partnership on e-government strategy and ICT policy told journalists that the ECA was satisfied with the level of e-government awareness they found in The Gambia.

He also said the ECA would work to further enhance and build the capacity of key priority departments such as health, finance and agriculture, among others so as to ensure transparency in public service.
