Gambia News : Gambian leader replaces health minister

Gambian president Yahya Jammeh has for the second time in less than a week on Friday effected another minor cabinet reshuffle ; removing Dr. Mariatou Jallow as Minister of Health and Social Welfare and replacing her with Dr. Abubakarr Gaye.

This follows the changes on Tuesday at the Environment and Forestry Ministry when Momodou Kotu Cham was replaced by Jatto Sillah.

Dr. Jallow was appointed to the cabinet in November 2008, less a year ago.
