Gambia News : Gambian leader leaves for AU summit in Addis Ababa

Gambian president yahya Jammeh left Banjul saturday morning for Addis Ababa, the Ethiopian capital to participate in the 14th summit of the African Union.

President Jammeh, accompanied by a large delegation, will be among about 40 heads of state and government expected to attend the summit which opens in Addis Ababa on Sunday and ends on the 2nd February.

The theme for the summit is "Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in Africa : Challenges and Opportunities for Development, and the summit is also expected to discuss several other pressing issues affecting the continent.
