The Gambian leader, Dr Alh. Yahya AJJ Jammeh, is expected to be sworn in at a colourful ceremony at the Independence Stadium - Bakau today morning.

The event is expected to be attended by a lot of people, including several heads of state from around the continent as well as the Prime Minister of Taiwan, Mr. Su Tseng-Chang.

President Yahya Jammeh swept the polls in the last September 22nd elections, polling 67% of the total votes cast.

This is the third time he is taking the oath of the highest position in the land.
