The trial of ex-Gambian Consul to Turkey, Muhammed Sussoho, resumed yesterday before Magistrate Kayoide of the Banjul Magistrates’ Court. The case, which was set for hearing yesterday, proceeded for cross-examination. The prosecutor, Superintendent Dibba, put it to the accused that the case had been adjourned to enable him to pay the money he is alleged to owe to Link Enterprises, amounting to D9million. In response the accused said that his witness who was supposed to give evidence, had travelled outside the jurisdiction. It could be recalled that the accused, Mr Muhammed Susso, is currently standing trial for the offence of issuing a false Standard Chartered Bank cheque to one Musa Jallow, while knowing that he had no sufficient fund in the account. |
