Gambia: Mottaki "Iran intends to expand ties with Gambia"

Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, receiving the Gambian new Ambassador to Iran Lamin Gaba Bajo, said Iran intends to expand ties with Gambia, IRNA reported.

According to Foreign Ministry Media Department report on Monday, Mottaki stressed that the presidents of both countries intend to expand and develop mutual relations and Iran is ready for cooperation with Gambia in the fields of trade, agriculture, investment and implementation of different projects.

Lamin Gaba Bajo, submitting a copy of his credentials to the FM, expressed pleasure over his mission to Iran.

He added, "I hope with support and cooperation of different sectors in both countries, we can take a big step towards expansion of bilateral ties."
