Balla Nyassi, a former employee of Kanilai Farm, has been sentenced to a fine of D20, 000. Alternatively, he is to serve two years imprisonment with hard labour.

Magistrate Jammeh of the Kanifing Magistrates’ Court handed down the sentence on Monday.

According to Magistrate Jammeh, the accused abused the trust reposed on him and that the prosecution had proved their case beyond all reasonable doubt.
