Gambia: Gambia U-20 Leave For USA Today

After months of uncertainty surrounding their departure for a training camp, the Gambia National U-20 team would finally leave Banjul today for the United States of America ahead of their first appearance in the World Youth Championship.

The bronze medallist in the African Youth Championship held in Congo earlier this year, would undergo a training session in Miami before heading to their final destination in Toronto for the championship.

The team would leave Banjul today to Dakar where they would board a flight DL35 of Delta Airlines at 2.30am and would land in Atlanta on Friday 15th June 2007 at 7.30am.

The team would later move to Miami for a training camp.

At the end of the training camp, the team would again travel to Atlanta where they would board flight on June 25th to Toronto and set for their first game on July 2nd against Mexico.

The delegation that leave Banjul today comprise of 27 people out of the normal 29 as Tijan Jaiteh and Ebrima Sohna, currently in Norway would join the team in America on June 20TH.
