Gambia: Boy 17, Needs Urgent Overseas Treatment

Dawda Jarju, a 17 -year-old heart patient is in dire need of assistance to undergo medical treatment abroad.

According to medical reports from Lamtoro Clinic, Medical Research Council (MRC) and Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH), Dawda is suffering from a severe cardinal heart disease, which requires urgent overseas medical attention.

Speaking to the Daily Observer, Adama Jarju, a sister to the patient, said her brother's condition has worsened to the extent that he vomits blood.

According to her, their father is a poor retired worker at Jeshwang Cemetery, while their mother has a history of mentally illness. She then added "I now take care of my brothers, despite being a student."
