As part of preparations for the upcoming U-17 selection tournament, from which future Gambia U-17 players would be drawn, Adama Sabally regional coordinator for Youth and Sports for Central River Region, has urged all talented players from his region to take part in the tournament slated early next month.

Speaking in an interview with Pointsport, Sabally highlighted that the tournament was very important, as the selection of the future Gambia U-17 team shall be drawn from it.  He added that during the regional U-17 selection tournament, the Gambia Football Association experts will be on the ground to observe the proceedings.

He hailed the initiative adding that it will give the opportunity to have an equal representation of players in the Gambia U-17 team nationwide.
