Alhagie Banding Drammeh, the President of the Supreme Islamic Council, has confirmed to The Point that Eid-al- Adha, commonly known as Tobaski, will fall on Friday, 21st December 2007. The SIC President said that he arrived at this conclusion after consultations with Imams and representatives of the Islamic body throughout the country.

He seized the opportunity to congratulate all the Muslims and non-Muslim in advance on the occasion.

He concluded by offering prayers for peace and prosperity for the nation and all people living in The Gambia.
